Quilting is SO Much Fun!

I am having a wonderful time making these cute quilts from Lori Holts book, Farm Girl Vintage. I pulled out my Farmall tractor and a few chickens for my mantel.

My little bluebirds are perched on this cute hanger! I'm having fun with the farm theme, especially since my husband grew up on a working dairy farm.

I still love my Pyrex bowls and vintage mixmaster!

Isn't this strawberry adorable!

I love these bright and cheery fabrics!

Have a cherry week!

Having Summer Fun

I have been out of school for nearly a month. Yippee! I was ready for Summer Fun!

We were able to see our daughter and family for two days as they rushed through S. Ca. visiting family. The Grandkids are bigger and still adorable!

We have worked in the yard so much, and we are also readying our little house in the desert for sale, (please say a prayer for it to sale). I have trigger finger again, (too much scrubbing and hula-hoeing) and had a shot last week. Hopefully it will straighten out again and I won't need surgery. I'm taking my vitamins!

But, here is what I have been doing that has brought me great pleasure...

I'm using Lori Holts book, Farm Girl Vintage. It is the cutest book, and I think I love every single quilt block in the book!

I've made a few mistakes, but I am learning as I go. Some of my points didn't match, but I think I figured it out. I wish I had a personal teacher!

Now, I have to learn how to actually quilt on my machine!

I sewed around the edges of these jars, but I don't know what else to do. Suggestions are very welcome!

So, you know what I will be doing for awhile!

Happy Summer!

April is a Wonderful Month!

I LOVE The month of April!

The flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping around the house.

The Father Quail sits on the gate posts and hollers to his mate to cross over into our property.

I just couldn't put my little lambs away yet. I had plans to make a spring banner or pennants, but I've been outside working in the yard too much!

My friend Leslie brought me these measuring cups for my birthday. I taught her daughter 1st grade. Now she is in High School!

Aren't they gingham- y cute!

My stove looks bare!

But the best part of the week is, I received a surprise birthday package from my dear friend, Debbie Kay!

This gorgeous red rosé hankie was tucked inside this sweet bluebird egg!

She sent this adorable teacher glasses holder. I just started wearing reading glasses now and then. How cute is this!

Some personalized notecards and a wonderful bluebird card! Ohhhhhhhh swoon!

A cute Dutch kids table mat and dotty red pinwheel!

And....

A Mary Engelbreit book....filled with inspiration!

This would look lovely at my house!

And this narrow box is definitely going on Hubs Honey-do list!

Thank you so much Debbie Kay! You have blessed me!

If you dont know Debbie Kay yet, hop over and visit her cute blog. She has the cutest blog and home! She loves to collect cute doo-dads like I do. Debbie is so adorable, and so sweet and generous! Thank you sweet Sister!

The stuffed blue bunny belonged to our son Matt when he was little. He is 31 now! I'm saving it in case he ever has a child!

Easter Swap Love!

Ohhhh I was so excited to have the Easter Bunny-Kim visit my house! Did you know the mail will deliver a wrapped box? Swaps are always so much fun, and a wonderful way to deepen friendships. Kim just spoiled me!

Okay, get ready for some sweeeeeet goodies ahead! Kim makes the cutest things! And, all the tiny and cute vintage goodies, well, I just love them! I don't really find vintage goodies like these, so to say the least, I was just screamin' with joy when I saw all of them. And most were so tiny....just celebrating my Little House!

Molly found this yellow bird with the feather tail and hid away to eat it. Bad doggie, Molly!

This little bluebird flew quickly to his cousins house for a Easter Egg Hunt!

And, Kim treated my Little House with some goodies, too! Look at this little basket and bunny and strawberry pink cake! I love strawberry cake! You are all invited over for a bite....a very tiny bite!

Everything was wrapped so cute with tiny bows and tags!

Look at all these goodies!
Can you believe it!
He IS Risen!

Thank you so much, Kim! I am so in love with everything you sent! Our friendship is a Blessing, and I appreciate you and the family love you share with all of us! I hope you love your Easter Swap, too. I did forget a little tail, though. Oops! I also forgot to take pictures! Silly me!

Thank you Viv, for hosting another Swap of Friendship!

Happy Easter Everyone! May you and yours be showered with His Love and Mercy!
