St. Patrick's Day Swap!

Sweet Vivian of Viv's Whimsey.blogspot.com is hosting a SECRET Leprechaun Swap! I love this idea!!!

I just love her blog and the inspiration I find within her posts is LUCKY for me!

We aren't to divulge our swap partner, but we can reveal what we made for them. I had a good time making my lucky leprechaun! He can be a bluebird, can't he?

I used paper clay, styrofoam, and a toothpick to make my little bird. I think it was Viv who first taught us how to use this clay!

I let it dry for 2 days. Then, this morning I painted them Blue Jay blue.

I drew on the eyes with a mechanical pencil and painted them in. Ladies...my eyes aren't what they used to be! I had to close one eye to paint because I have mono- vision!

Then, I floated on some pink cheeks.

I drew my patterns on old mail! Then traced onto a favorite piece of scrapbook paper.

I glued them on with Tacky glue and embellished with St. Patrick's items.

The sweet girly blogger that I made this Lucky Charm for is sweet as pie!

I hope she likes it!

I also made a few ornaments for my holiday tree with my Cricut a few weeks ago.

And so, she will get a set, too.

I went to a church tag sale Friday after work and got a box of green ball ornaments! The ladies were laughing, wondering who would buy the bright green balls. They thought they looked more like St. Pat's than Christmas! Yep, they do, and perfect for my tree.

The little cones were cut from felt doilies from the dollar store. I am going to make a new garland, too.

Stay tuned!

Prayer Request

Prayer request.
Dear Readers,
One of my dear kinder-kid's mommies is in the hospital. She is 21 weeks pregnant, had a seizure, is unconscious, not breathing on her own, and needs prayer for healing. The baby will be delivered tomorrow. Please pray for a miracle, and for this dear little family.

May the road rise up to meet you

May the wind be always at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face

And the rain fall soft upon your fields

And until we meet again

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I'm Lookin' Over A Four Leaf Clover

Grandmother's green eyelet lace. A little clothespin doll.

Bits and bobs, glitter and shine.

Spooled lace and Pearls on a string. It's a nice way to gather memories and tuck them into tiny spaces.

Hydrangeas gathered from Mother's yard.

I'm enjoying the green in the house, and wishing there were more of it outside. But, the farmers are plowing the fields across the way and have filled the irrigation pond, readying for the big planting. I wonder if it will be spinach again.

More to come.....

Love is Kind

How do you really let people know how valuable their words of kindness have been? These hearts were made with stitches of thanksgiving and prayer, for each sweet one, special and dear to me.

**************

Inspiration found from my own sweet heart, made for me some time ago, by a dear friend.

I have spent the past weeks making hearts for dear friends while my own heart was breaking.

And, with gratitude to you all for touching my life with friendship and inspiration.

Blessings, Patti

Sweet Things from a Sweetheart

When hubs took my box to the Post Office today, look what he brought back home to me.

I love Valentine Swaps! Where cuteness and inspiration abound, and where Dear Friends are made!

The inside was packed with sweetness, including this precious card! I told Deb that I loved pink, red, and aqua. Look at how she cared for me!

When fun- lovin' Sandy invited us to join her VDay Swap, I quickly joined in! (Here is the link to the other swap partners on Sandy's blog)

Well, I was jumping up and down to have Deb from Garage Sale Gal as my swap partner! She is so sweet! I knew that it would be fun to make her a Valentine box! But, look at this Valentine box she made for me!

Just look at the goodies she sent me! There are zillions of tiny treasures!

P

P for Patti!

Something for the teacher!

A bluebird! Ohhhhhhhhhhh!

Thank you Sweet Friend! You have blessed me more than you can imagine. The sweetness and care in this box is a tremendous gift to me. Thank you!

We Slip, Slide, And Play!

I've been busy teaching my kinder kids. We are preparing for our Class science project for the school science fair.

We are learning about penguins. Emperor penguins to be exact!

I thought you might enjoy these darling penguin paintings we did last week.

A special thank you to Mrs. Patterson who brought in the potatoes and led the class in this activity. It was FUN!

Valentines fun to come soon!

Little Pots of Paint

I am forgetful when it comes to blogging. I get so excited about my project I forget to take a "before" picture.

But, anyhoo, I have been having fun painting several pieces of do-dad wood things.

My inspiration began when I found these little pots of paint at the Ace Hardware for $1 each. Look at the cute names of the paints! Cowgirl. Peppermint Pony. Bird's Eye Maple. But, my favorite is Chicken Broth!

I had this set of very petite trays and had fun painting each one a different color.

Wanna come over for a little tea party? I'd love to have you!

Can you just see a milk glass luncheon set and tiny napkin!

Have a wonderful week!

Blessings to you and to yours!
