Since You Asked

I have received several questions about this metal storage file cabinet in my craftroom. I thought I would repost this post that was originally on my paintinpatti.typepad.com site.

"I found this portable file cabinet at a yard sale. The hardware was VERY rusty - which would have been perfect in a shabby room - but, I wanted it to be in my craftroom - so that means it had to be RED!

So - out came the RED spraypaint! And, my favorite scrapbook papers - and of course, the Mod Podge!

Now she's pretty! I used red polka-dot wrapping paper.

I was inspired to do this project by Melony at Whimsy Daisy

I was looking thru some of my older posts on my old blog, and I can tell, I was happier. I miss my grandchildren. Thank you, Lord, for the time I had with them living nearby.

And, wasn't my little house cute? Crowded and cute!

    LOVE that file cabinet! it turned out beautifully! now I want one! lol! thats the problem with blogging, I want one of everything that everyone has.. lol! not really.. but sometimes...
    As for being happier ... I think thats one of those things that we definitely feel stronger on some occasions and in some seasons. I have no doubt that you miss your grandchildren.. I cant imagine Patti.. but maybe you could plan a little vacation for a visit soon? How far away are they? Im going to go back in your blog a bit... have a great day my friend!

    Your cabinet is just wonderful. I could see Mary Engelbreit featuring your lovely transformation in her former magazine. I hope you do have some special visits planned in the near future...perhaps over spring break?? Hugs!

    Oh, my! All those wonderful patterns! I actually like your cabinet much more than the one that inspired you. Yours remind me of the good old ME days when the magazine was filled with so many vintage treasures you had to save every copy.
