This is my last week of Summer Break. It has been very enjoyable.
We spent time in Colorado visiting our daughter and family. It was wonderful to spend time with the grandchildren! And, it was such fun to thrift shop with my daughter. She has the same bug! We found this little cart made from a soda crate in Downtown Loveland. Mr. Rooster said it was just his size.
I found this hand painted VERY heavy antique iron at a thrift store, too.
Miss Hen thinks it would look nice in the chicken house parlor!
I had a wonderful time this summer sewing all the cute farm patterns in
Lori Holt's book. I found the colorful floral tin in Loveland, too, at a yard sale.
I made this red gingham quilt this summer. My first ever larger quilt with batting and stitching! Whew!!! What a learning curve this was for me. Lots of mistakes, but lots of learning, too.
I just love red gingham!
My daughter and I had such fun together, just like two little hens cackling away.

I'm going to miss our thrift store trips.
And, just being together.
Monday begins a new school year for me. So far, I'll have 17 kinder-kids.
May The Lord Bless Us!
